The underwriting team are seen as a service driven ‘quoting’ market and lead a material portion of the book. The main areas of focus for the Casualty account are as follows:

NASP – North American Specialty Programs

This portfolio predominately consists of professional and general liability insurance business written under binding authorities. The account focusses on specialty niches, written on claims made and occurrence forms.

Financial Lines

The portfolio is geographically spread with worldwide capabilities. It consists of predominately mid-tier sized financial institutions and commercial entities. The diverse product suite includes coverage for Crime, FIPI and D&O across a spectrum of industry sectors, including but not limited to banks, building societies, mortgage banks, stock exchanges, investment/asset managers, stockbrokers and miscellaneous commercial entities. The team have a track record of innovation in product development with a particular emphasis towards the US real estate sector.

Professional Indemnity

The PI portfolio has a worldwide (ex USA) capability but is predominately UK focussed and diverse in nature. Main classes include; Construction (architects, engineers, project managers, contractors); Financial (insurance brokers, IFA’s, CSP’s); Regulated Professions (accountants, actuaries, UK/Intl solicitors but no primary UK solicitors are considered) and Miscellaneous (computer consultants, management consultants etc).
