Lloyd’s continue to host a range of global events for businesses in the market to showcase their products, services and expertise. We have summarised the schedule for April and May here. Many of these events are aimed at the USA marketplace, with published timings in Eastern Time (five hours behind the UK). We think that clients will find at least some of these useful and interesting in developing an understanding of the businesses at Lloyd’s and the wide diversity of risks that they insure.

Tuesday April 12

Lloyd's Council Member and former US Senator John Sununu will provide a special briefing from the Lloyd's Lounge on emerging risks, including the impact of the war in Ukraine on global (re)insurance markets. Moderated by Soraya Wright. This session will be broadcast live from the Lloyd’s Lounge at the RIMS annual convention and exhibition in San Francisco. 10am Eastern Time/ 3pm BST

The Future for Brokers and Underwriters – Is There One? Nigel Roberts of AEGIS London and Vanessa Macdonald-Smith of Oneglobal Broking will talk about the rise in digital underwriting and AI and what it means for the future of brokers and underwriters in the Lloyd's market. 11am Eastern Time/ 4pm BST

Digital Transformation - Gemma Burns of AEGIS London and Helen Rios of Ki insurance bring a unique perspective to algorithmically-driven underwriting in the Lloyd's market and how it's making capacity available for brokers and their clients instantly, anywhere, any time. 11am Eastern Time/ 4pm BST
