Lancashire adds that the 2020 year of account remains heavily on risk and a preliminary forecast will be issued following analysis of the fifth quarter data. Exposure to losses related to the covid-19 pandemic on the 2019 and 2020 years of account means there is a greater than normal degree of uncertainty around the ultimate result. The syndicate recorded a combined ratio of 104.6% in the twelve months to 31 December 2020.
Syndicate results and estimates are expressed as a percentage of syndicate capacity and are after all standard personal expenses but before members’ agents’ fees and charges.
